In the light of latest weather update, Pakistan is preparing for another weave of rain with hailstorms predicted in several parts of the country.
All schools in Balochistan will be closed today and tomorrow due to the predicted weather. Pakistan is preparing for a string of rainstorms, which will begin with a drizzle in Karachi today when this decision is made.
The previous rainy season in Balochistan is quite dangerous taking several lives and incurring a large amount of financial loss.
A system of western winds that is currently in Balochistan has been identified by the Meteorological Department as one that is expected to bring another round of heavy rain to Karachi on April 17.

Forecasts indicate that this weather system is not just confined to Karachi; further rainfall is expected in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
In Lower Dir, where intense rains have resulted in a high-level flood in the River Panjkora, the weather has already gotten worse. Quetta and other cities are still being impacted by the continuous downpour that is interspersed by lightning and thunder. It is also anticipated that 16 districts in Balochistan will receive rain today.
Residents of Quetta are facing challenges as a result of the sewage system being interrupted by post-rain water collection on several routes. The Balochistani Chief Minister has taken notice of the situation and issued orders for prompt action.
