The Pakistan Cricket Board declared on Wednesday that Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz’s services will no longer be required on the national selection committee.
The display of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in the T20 World Cup was very dismal and disappointing. Fans are very angry with the players and support staff of the Pak cricket team.
The chairman also announced a big surgery on the team due to their poor performance and this is the first step of the renovation plan for the Pak cricket team.

Abdul Razzaq served on both the men’s and women’s selection committees, whereas Wahab served just on the men’s. The PCB will offer more information about the makeup of the selection committee in due course.
The development comes weeks after Pakistan’s dismal departure from the T20 World Cup 2024. Team Green had even failed to advance to the Super Eight round. Despite losing to the United States and India, they were eliminated from the major cricket tournament’s group stage.
The PCB’s decision to remove Wahab and Razzaq has reduced the selection committee from seven to five members. The remaining members are Mohammad Yousaf, the head coach and captain of the respective forms; Asad Shafiq; and Bilal Afzal, a statistical analyst.
