Utility Store to Provide Non-Subsidized Products for Low-Salaried Employees

The Utility Stores Cooperative makes necessary arrangements for its employees to save them from a higher rate of inflation.

An office order issued by the Utility Store Cooperative (USC) allows low-wage USC employees to purchase non-subsidized household consumables at franchise pricing.

The purchasing power of the lower grade and daily wage class decreases due to the massive increase in the inflation rate across Pakistan.

The decision to allow non-subsidized household consumables at franchise pricing is very welcoming for the employees of USC across Pakistan.

All USC employees (contract and regular) from BS-01 to BS-16, as well as all daily wagerers, will be able to buy food and non-subsidized goods from normal Utility Stores at franchise prices starting on August 1, 2024, according to the Managing Director of USC.

During the sale of items to USC employees, the following procedure will be adopted by store in-charges:

  1. Each USC employee’s salary code will be used as the Customer ID.
  2. CNIC will also be included in the Odoo ERP system. The original CNIC is mandatory for scanning during purchases at USC outlets.

The monthly purchase limit is set as follows and cannot exceed the specified amount:

  • BS-01 to BS-07 (including all daily wagers): Rs. 20,000/-
  • BS-08 to BS-11: Rs. 25,000/-
  • BS-12 to BS-16: Rs. 35,000/-
