Great news for young women and girls living in Pakistan under the British Council in Scotland! Applications are now open for the Scotland Pakistan Scholarship, offered by the Scottish Government. This scholarship provides funding for graduate studies to Pakistani women at any of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) officially recognized universities across Pakistan.

The aim of these grants is to make higher education more accessible to women, helping them achieve their dreams and aspirations. Only Pakistani women are eligible for this scholarship.
The scholarship requires applicants to have either a four-year bachelor’s degree or a two-year master’s degree from an HEC-approved Pakistani university. The following fields are available for eligible applicants:
- Sustainable Energy
- Food Security and Agriculture
- Health Sciences
- STEM (Masters only)
The British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and will coordinate with scholars and universities through the appropriate or nominated university focal persons.
Young women with disabilities, as well as those from rural areas and/or minority groups, are especially encouraged to apply.
