Punjab’s New Educational Reforms: Changes to Class 9 and 11 Syllabuses

The Punjab government has published a notification about major revisions to the Class 9 and 11 syllabuses for the upcoming academic year, ensuring important changes in the educational framework.
In this notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Sunday, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has been ordered to print new textbooks with the updated changes and to ensure that students receive these materials in the new academic year. This will help both teachers and students prepare according to the new revisions in the syllabuses.

The new syllabus will impact key subjects, including English, Urdu, Islamiat, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science.

The most significant update is the dedicated focus on Pakistan’s cultural importance and history in the Class 10 curriculum. This addition aims to modernize the syllabus and make it more relevant to current academic and regional standards.
