The groups, which included Lahore and the rest of Punjab, called for a strike against the provincial government’s policies.
The government forced the Naabis to sell naan and bread at discounted prices so that they could provide relief to the poor community of Pakistan.
In return, the association demands flour at reduced prices from the government so that they can sell products at subsidized rates,
Aftab Gul, the President of the Naanbai Association in Lahore, claimed that the local authorities ignored their demands.

“We’ve waited a month, and we won’t wait any longer. All tandoors (ovens) in Punjab will be closed starting tomorrow.
The Naanbai Association has requested updated alerts about the pricing of bread and naan. The Associations urged that the price of naan be regulated and that flour be given at subsidized rates for bread sales to compete with lower prices.
