Punjab Group of Colleges Announces Scholarship for Workers’ Children

In Pakistan Punjab Group of colleges is a renowned education institute of Punjab with impeccable education services for the students of the province.

To further play their role in the field of education the Institute has announced that children of workers will receive free education and dormitory accommodations.

The University of Central Punjab and the University of Biological and Applied Sciences will offer free university education to workers’ children, as well as free intermediate education at more than 400 Punjab college campuses.

Who Can Apply 

The following requirements must be met for children of laborers to get free education. 

  • A worker certified by the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund who satisfies the definition of “worker” in the Industrial Relations Act, 2010, is eligible for Social Security or EOBI benefits and has worked for the Factory and Factories Act, 1934 for a minimum of three years in total. 
  • Being employed as a worker in a PGC-registered enterprise is one of Pakistan’s biggest educational networks. 
  • Free education from college to university level will be offered by more than 400 Punjab college campuses at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) and Lahore University of Basic Arts. 
  • Throughout their education, they will also receive free transportation and hostel accommodations.
