According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Eid ul Adha would most likely be observed on Monday, June 17, 2024.
The Met Office’s Climate Data Processing Centre has projected that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will appear on June 6 at 5:38 pm.
“The moon’s age in Karachi at sunset will be 26 hours and 8 minutes,” according to the PMD, and “the moon is expected to be visible for 72 minutes after sunset.”

It also said that the moon must be at least 19 hours old to be seen. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will formally declare the date of Eid al-Adha in the following days.
Furthermore, the establishment division has set Eid ul Adha vacations from June 17 to 19, this year. The federal and provincial administrations will issue formal holiday announcements a few days before Eid.
