In a tweet, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOIB) clarified that the news about a Defence Day holiday on September 6th is totally false. The nation should show some ethics and verify such sensitive issues before spreading them, as it is totally unethical and illegal.
National Defence Day is on September 6. It remembers Pakistan’s military work in the 1965 war with India. Even though people are talking about a holiday online, the government hasn’t officially announced it. The Federal Cabinet Division didn’t say that September 6 would be a public holiday for 2024.
