Islamabad Schools and Colleges Extend Summer Vacations Until August 4 Due to Heatwave

Because of the excessive “hot and humid weather,” Islamabad’s universities and institutions have agreed to prolong the summer holiday until August 4.

The month of August is quite severe for humans due to prolonged hot and humid conditions prevailing in the capital city of Pakistan. The Ministry of Federal Education and Training said that Islambad’s schools and institutions will resume on Monday, August 5.

These conditions promoted the idea of the extension of the summer vacations in Islamabad, so the federal education ministry issued a notification about the extension of the summer vacations.

Due to inclement weather, the summer holiday for Islamabad children, which was scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, July 31, has been prolonged. The holiday began on June 10 and will now last until July 31.

The announcement of vacations becomes popular among parents and children and they are quite happy with this decision of the government.

“The Federal Capital District has decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools and colleges until August 4, 2024, due to extremely hot and humid weather.” The announcement sent on July 28 read, “On Monday, August 5, 2024, the schools and colleges will reopen.”
