A great news for the students of the Punjab province as the Punjab government has formally opened registration for the distribution of 20,000 motorcycles on interest free bike scheme Under the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative.
The online portal has been launched for this purpose so that the students can apply for the registration for the program as soon as possible.

Details of Interest Free Bike Scheme
The government and the Bank of Punjab worked together to develop the education-friendly project, which was introduced by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
After a free and fair selection procedure, 19,000 gas-powered motorbikes and 1,000 electric bikes will be given away under the program to students chosen by poll.
This scheme will have an equal quota for female students as 11,676 of the 19,000 gas-powered bikes belong to male students, and 7,324 are to female students.
300 electric bikes are designated for female students and 700 for male students out of a total of 1,000 electric bikes.
Regular students at a degree college or university that has been officially recognized by HEC may sign up for the interest-free motorcycle program in Phase 1.
The program will be introduced first in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rawalpindi.
For the more than 800,000 students in the province, this is a great chance to get their transportation. The candidate needs to be older than eighteen.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at a college or university that HEC has officially acknowledged.
- Must possess a current motorcycle driver’s license or learner’s permit.
- If more applications are received than the quotas allotted, e-balloting will occur.
