The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced on Thursday that its Executive Board will meet on September 25 to discuss Pakistan’s $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF). IMF Press Officer Julie Kozack stated in a press briefing that the meeting is scheduled for September 25, following Pakistan securing necessary funding from other countries and partners. In July, the IMF and Pakistani officials agreed on the $7 billion loan plan over 37 months, but it still requires approval from the IMF’s Executive Board.
