The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has declared a 24-hour “gas holiday” for all enterprises, including power plants, as well as all CNG stations throughout Sindh.
This news will affect severely the gas consumers across Sindh as plants running on gas will be shut down for 24 hours.
This gas holiday will take effect from 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 19 until 8 a.m. on Monday, May 20.
The gas holiday was announced not due to the short or deprived supply of gas but due to the maintenance work in different gas line stations.
The SSGC claimed gas supply problems inside their system, which resulted in line pack depletion and low pressures, as the cause for the gas vacation.
