According to reports, the administration intends to boost the use of solar energy throughout the province. The government will provide free solar systems in Punjab for low-electricity consumers and interest-free loans for higher-electricity consumers.
Citizens who use up to 200 units of power will receive free solar systems. Those utilizing 200 to 500 units can get interest-free loans to install solar panels. This week, the average basic power cost was permitted to increase from Rs29.78 to Rs35.50.
